In-Depth Research
Every tool is researched in depth using official documentation, publicly available feature pages, and verified user reviews from G2, Capterra, and similar platforms. We evaluate against standardised real-world scenarios: booking a job, dispatching a technician, generating a quote, recording a payment, and accessing records from a mobile device.
Pricing Verification
Pricing is sourced directly from vendor websites and supplemented by publicly available documentation and pricing pages. Where pricing is not publicly listed (common for enterprise tiers), we note this explicitly. We do not fabricate pricing — if we cannot verify it, we say so.
Scored Across 8 Categories
Each platform is scored out of 10 across: Scheduling & Dispatch, Quoting & Estimates, Invoicing & Billing, Payment Collection, Mobile App, Customer Management, Integrations, and Support. Each dimension is weighted by its importance to a typical small-to-medium trades business. The overall score is the weighted average.
No Paid Placements
Vendors cannot pay to improve their rating, score, or ranking position. Some products on this site have affiliate programmes — those relationships are disclosed on every page. If an affiliated product ranks highly, it is because the score earned it. If it ranks poorly, that's published too.
Public Feedback Integration
We read verified user reviews on G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, and the Apple App Store / Google Play to surface patterns that short-term evaluation cannot reveal — particularly around customer support quality and reliability over time.
Transparency About Limitations
We are not a certified testing laboratory, not professional accountants, and not legal advisors. Reviews reflect our analysis at a point in time. Software changes fast — we note a "last updated" date on every review and revisit when vendors announce significant pricing or feature changes.
